Hugging Tree Winery is an independent family owned and operated farm nestled in the mountainside of the enchanting Similkameen Valley. Here we have our labour of love, whether it is nurturing trees in our orchard, digging in the gardens or tending to the vines – we find it a peaceful and purposeful way to live our life.

We are pleased to share our sunshine captured by our grapes and hope they fill more than just your glass…

Please be well.

Our Wines

2015 Viognier

Hand harvested off of our 1.5 acre block in three separate picks spread out over three weeks.

I carefully watched these grapes ripen and constantly tasted them in an attempt to pick up slight oily viscosity, while still getting some fruit and crisp citrus notes. This makes for a lovely…

2015 Rosé

This is not your typical subtle, delicate rosé. This medium-bodied rosé is very bold in palate and bouquet. It is very fun to pair with food, especially those with big flavour profiles.

Jamaican jerk spice, curries, thai food, blue cheese, to name a few.

2014 Moonchild Merlot

Lot’s of dark stone fruits on the palate of this Merlot. With minimal oak, the brightness of the fruit shines through. This is the ultimate curl-up-with-a-blanket-and-a-good-book glass of wine. With a bit of breathing time this wine sings!

2012 Telltale

To tell the tale of one’s terroir is a wine maker who is interested in his craft’s passion. To have the grapes grown here in the spectacular Similkameen Valley and to use them as my canvas to work with is a blessing beyond measure. Letting the expression of the grapes speak for…

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

If you do not know how wonderful a Similkameen ripened Cabernet Sauvignon is, then
I am not going to be the one to tell you. If you DO know…. shhh…
36 months in 2nd turn French and American oak.
